The Garden at the Annie Walsh Memorial School.
Yes, WE can!

Our sincere thanks go to all who attended the reunion events in Freetown, December 22-27, 2009, in celebration of the school's 160th anniversary.  The success we claim today was as a direct result of your participation, engagement and generous financial contributions.  So, thank you, once again!

Of the three events -- the Forum, Picnic and Farewell service -- we raised a significant amount towards the Regent Initiative and the ongoing progress of the AWMS.

How well did we do?  Drum roll please …

Le 2,575,000.00 (Two million, five hundred and seventy five thousand leones)
₤520 (Five hundred and twenty pounds sterling)
$870 (Eight hundred and seventy dollars)

The above represents the net proceeds of the events, and donations from tried, true and committed AWOGs and friends, listed on the Acknowledgements page. It is also interesting to note that Le 489,000.00 came from anonymous donors, which is positively indicative of the generosity of AWOGs and a testament to our motto, Non Sibi Sed Omnibus

These contributions have made a significant impact on the Regent Initiative, and are currently being invested in an interest-bearing savings account at the Rokel Commercial Bank, held by the AWMS Relocation Committee, in Freetown, Sierra Leone. We invite everyone to keep contributing towards this ongoing and laudable venture. A project timeline on the Regent Initiative will be posted shortly for your reference. You can send donations to:
